What the role is
Job Title: Cafe Assistant 
Working Hours 30 hours, Monday – Friday 8:30 - 3:00 
Contract Type Permanent 
Location Lytham St Annes
  • Prepare and serve a small select of hot drinks, hot snacks, sandwiches and confectionary to the people working within and visiting Jubilee House to ensure repeat custom and increase the number of service users.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and hygiene, whilst actively building and maintaining our customer base to ensure income covers expenditure.
  • Protect safe working practices by adhering to Food Standards Agency (FSA) requirements and building confidence among customers in the service provided.
  • Proactively manage stock levels to ensure we can serve the right products at the right time, by taking ownership of ordering stock in line with our budget. 
  • Take ownership of customer feedback by regularly offering suggestions on how we can improve our service to secure long-term sustainability.
  • Responsible for keeping the Canteen and seating area clean and tidy, making sure the areas are ready for use and welcoming to its customers.
  • Accurately handling cash and card transactions.

What Skills are required
To provide a food and beverage service to the Jubilee House community from the Coffee Shop, throughout the working week. This role will help to support the success of business within Jubilee House by providing a food and beverage service during core office hours. The team are responsible for the running and upkeep of Jubilee House (and other properties) to the highest standard ensuring that the space we offer is desirable and fully utilised.
  • GCSE passes including Math and English at grade C or above are desirable 
  • Food Hygiene Certificate desirable 
  • Allergen Awareness Certificate desirable
