The role of a Client Partner in the Accounting department is to manage and develop a team
of accountants and assistants, to deliver a compliant, professional, and high-quality service to
the clients. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team in your department, to help
deliver on the objectives and goals of the business.
Role Responsibilities:
• Responsible for a reduced portfolio of clients
• Ensure compliance deadlines are met for all clients.
• Reviewing work that has been done by assistants.
• Preparing accounts, VAT returns (as needed), corporation tax returns and any other
compliance work needed for filing at Companies House and HMRC.
• Manage a team of assistants and accountants, having regular one to ones with the
team, and ensuing that they have everything needed to carry out their duties.
• Ownership of compliance across the team, maintaining a thorough review process for
all work, ensuring a consistent and compliant service is delivered and statutory filing
dates are met.
• Monitor performance to ensure standards are met and accurate, tailored, and
proactive advice is being given to clients, evidenced by high engagement and client
referrals.
• Deal with any complaints that come up within the team from clients.
• Identify when new members of staff are needed for your team and take responsibility
for the recruitment.
• Proactively measure and monitor results to identify and implement opportunities for
improvement, to delight the client and facilitate growth.
• Develop and deliver training plans, fostering an environment where team members
are able and motivated to grow and develop.
• Oversee the onboarding of new clients, to ensure that the client journey is smooth
and to the highest standards, and the necessary registrations are taken care off.
• To Facilitate growth of the SME clients, to increase client numbers and our
contribution to the EBITDA of the business.
• Identify new software’s that are available, and which could aid efficiencies.
